🍂 Bring the Fall Feeling Home
You do not need a major decorating project to make your apartment feel comfortable and seasonal. A few renter-friendly changes can create a warm fall atmosphere without adding clutter or making permanent alterations.
🧺 1. Add Warm Textures
Bring out a soft throw blanket, textured pillows or an autumn-colored table runner. Deep green, gold, rust and warm neutral shades can change the feeling of a room quickly.
☀️ 2. Use the Autumn Sunshine
Open curtains during sunny parts of the day to add natural warmth and light. Close them after sunset to help keep cooler air near the windows.
💡 3. Choose Warm Lighting
Soft-white lamps and flameless candles can create a cozy evening atmosphere without the risks associated with an open flame.
🌬️ 4. Keep Vents Clear
Make sure furniture, rugs and curtains are not blocking heating vents or air returns. Clear airflow helps your apartment warm more efficiently.
🍎 5. Add a Seasonal Scent
A simmer pot, wax warmer or fall-scented cleaning product can add notes of apple, cinnamon or pumpkin without taking up much space. Always follow product instructions and never leave heated items unattended.
🚪 6. Create a Simple Fall Entryway
A washable doormat and small basket for scarves or gloves can help contain the leaves, moisture and mud that arrive with cooler weather.
If you notice a draft, heating concern or maintenance issue, report it. Do not attempt a permanent repair or alteration yourself. :)
🏡 Enjoy Fall Close to Home
One of the pleasures of living in Pacific is being close to hometown events while still having a comfortable place to relax afterward. Enjoy the festival, support local vendors and then head home for a cozy October evening!
