🏘️ A Note to PVA Residents
Even though our property is outside the floodplain, strong winds, heavy rainfall, and potential power outages can still affect our community. Please take time to prepare your home and surroundings.
✅ Spring Storm Tips for Every Resident
Secure Outdoor Items: High winds can turn patio furniture, potted plants, and decorations into flying debris. Remove or secure them before Saturday.
Charge Devices Early: Power outages are possible. Make sure phones, flashlights, and power banks are fully charged.
Avoid Flooded Roads: Even minor flooding can make local streets dangerous. Turn around, don’t drown.
Create a Basic Emergency Kit: Include bottled water, snacks, medications, batteries, flashlights, pet supplies, and a phone charger.
Have a Weather Radio Ready: Battery-powered NOAA weather radios can keep you informed if internet or cell signals go down.
Know Where to Go: Plan now. Identify safe rooms (closets, bathrooms) away from windows, and stay indoors during warnings.
🌼 Stay Safe and Stay Tuned
PVA will continue monitoring updates and provide alerts as needed. You can always contact the office with concerns, or call after hours to connect with our emergency line. Let’s all be ready—and look out for each other.
